How to get the most out of your bows.

Here are some suggestions on how to get the most out of your bows. Save money and have fun with it.

The POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!

Do you have all those baby bows left that your girl has outgrown?

Well you can still use them. Make your own layered interchangable bows and save the money.

Bows need to be on partially lined aligator clips and flat centers.

We have added a lot of new items today. Fairy Fluffies, Tails Down bows. Also we have added a special link on how to get the most out of your bows. Come check it out. Fairy Fluffies are on sale 10% off. http://my2redheadsbowtique.com/index.php?main_page=products_new

Road Trip

Tuesday, March 3 was such a fun day. Five of my friends and I went to Memphis to see Legally Blonde the Musical. I had seen this in NYC last May but it was a lot of fun to see it again. We drove down and met up with a friend in Memphis at Spaghetti Warehouse. GOOD FOOD!! Then on to the Orpheum. The play was diffent in so many ways than the one I saw on Broadway. They had to change a lot of the sets. Even some of the songs had words changed. I had 6th row orchestra seats. They were so good. I am going to have a hard time sitting anywhere else from now on. HE HE!

Children's Activities

As much as I love my kids being involved in activities it is so nice when they are over. Rebecca did Little Dribblers this year at her school. It was one night a week practice and then they perform during halftime at the High School games. They did 4 performances this season. It was suppose to be 5 but due to snow and ice in December one was canceled. Well tonight was her last performance for this year. It was so good. She did a great job. The ball never got away from her.
But let me tell you I am glad it is over. WOW!! I feel like we never stop and they don't have much going on. Awana and Children's Choir is all now.
I can't imagine when they get older. OH MY!!!

Mr.Nobody??

Do you have a Mr. Nobody at your house. Apparently we do! My 4 year old daughter blames everything on Mr. Nobody. Nothing to serious yet but today I was making her lunch when from behind I was attacked (friendly) by something the height of a 4 yr old. I responded with a playful
"I was attacked by a little kid"
and she replied "No that was Mr. Nobody. He is invisible."
Then I asked where is Mr. Nobody? She told me that he was already outside.
The best part is that I got more without asking.
"Mr. Nobody has a mommy. She is invisible too. She makes him lunch and he NEVER eats it." I could have fallen on the floor with her imagination.

I don't get to go out very often but last night I said let's go!!!
Not only was the company good the coffee was too. I did however get decaf. Probably good I did because I could not go to sleep when I got home anyway. We talked about old high school drama we lived through and we talked about MEN!!!! Some good some bad! We just had good o'le girl talk. I can't wait to do it again. Well then I went to rent some movies for the family. I will have to let you know what I think of them.
I guess that is it for now. later ...........

Save the Small business and Crafter.

"In 2007, large toy manufacturers who outsource their production to China and other developing countries violated the public's trust. They were selling toys with dangerously high lead content, toys with unsafe small parts, toys with improperly secured and easily swallowed small magnets, and toys made from chemicals that made kids sick. Almost every problem toy in 2007 was made in China.

The United States Congress rightly recognized that the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) lacked the authority and staffing to prevent dangerous toys from being imported into the US. So, they passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in August, 2008. Among other things, the CPSIA bans lead and phthalates in toys, mandates third-party testing and certification for all toys and requires toy makers to permanently label each toy with a date and batch number.

All of these changes will be fairly easy for large, multinational toy manufacturers to comply with. Large manufacturers who make thousands of units of each toy have very little incremental cost to pay for testing and updating their molds to include batch labels.
For small American, Canadian, and European toymakers, however, the costs of mandatory testing, to the tune of up to $4,000 per toy, will likely drive them out of business. And the handful of larger toy makers who still employ workers in the United States face increased costs to comply with the CPSIA, even though American-made toys had nothing to do with the toy safety problems of 2007. Toy makers won't be the only ones impacted by the CPSIA, the thousands of US businesses who offer clothing, jewelry and other gifts for children --in essence-- the entire children's industry will be as well.

The CPSIA simply forgot to exclude the class of toys that have earned and kept the public's trust. The result, unless the law is modified, is that handmade toys will no longer be legal in the US.

Thriving small businesses are crucial to the financial health of our nation. Let's amend the CPSIA so that all businesses large and small are able to comply and survive! " - facebook group Help Save Handmade Toys from the CPSIA

New Year 2009

Well it has been a while since I wrote anything. I have been busy with the fall craft sales and Christmas. It has been crazy here at the house. We spent Christmas here at our home with my in-laws. It was nice. I enjoy being able to watch the girls wake up in their own house to see that Santa has come.

We splurged this year with Jay's Bonus money (he got from joining the Air National Guard) and bought a pool table for our family room. It is so much fun. We have finally finished our room except for the crown molding but we are getting there. We also got a ping pong table to go on top of the pool table. Sooo... we spent Christmas playing ping pong and pool. Ping pong is great exercise for those who have never done it. WOW you can work up a sweat.

Although the holidays were fun I was sick most of it. I had a cold that lasted about 3 weeks. I think I am finally over it.
Jay thought I was on my death bed.

I am going to head back to school after taking a semester off. I am taking one class because that is all I have left to get my associates. :) Then I also have to take the Praxis 1 and apply to the education program through ASU-Jonesboro. I will attend classes in Beebe but my degree with be through Jonesboro starting in August. I am excited yet nervous. The first semester is 18 hours and that will be tough with a second grader and kindergartener.

It is hard to believe that I am about to have a 7 year old and an almost 5 year old. Time goes by so fast.
Well I hope that your new year brings tons of blessings.
